Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants and Fungi Workshop
Presented by Rick Van de Poll
Sunday, June 2 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Back by popular demand! Sign up for this short seminar led by Rick Van de Poll, focusing on what is readily available for food and herbal medicine in the central New Hampshire Region. A colorful slide show will introduce participants to the common plant and mushrooms that have been used for centuries by Europeans and Natives alike. Reference works will be reviewed and a special soup for the day will be prepared for optional sampling. This will be followed by a short, easy hike around Quincy Bog in search of what is “out” and identifiable. Workshop participants may find some early mushrooms to pick and prepare.
