The Junior Naturalist Program
The Quincy Bog Natural Area is calling all kids and parents to the Quincy Bog Nature Center to get outdoors and participate in a new Junior Naturalist program this summer.
Families and mentors can work with children to become a Junior Naturalist by learning about Quincy Bog and by agreeing to protect special places like the Quincy Bog Natural Area.

Pick up your Junior Naturalist booklet at the Nature Center off Quincy Bog Road in Rumney to get started. The booklet is full of pictures, illustrations, interesting facts, and activities for kids of all ages. The Junior Naturalist Program also asks that kids complete a service project, which can be as simple as picking up trash on the trails or sharing your knowledge about the Bog with friends and family. Kids can even develop a Quincy Bog service project of their own. When the activities and a service project are finished, the booklet is taken to the Nature Center , where a friendly Bog Host on duty will check the workbook and provide kids with a Jr. Naturalist badge. |

Stop by the Nature Center at any day from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during July and August to get your copy of the Jr. Naturalist booklet. This activity might be stretched out over a few visits or completed all at once. The program is flexible with different requirements for different ages.
