The Joe Kent Ecological Trail at Quincy BogThe Quincy Bog Natural Area consists of a pond and a variety of associated wetlands surrounded by upland forests. A flank of Mt. Stinson extends toward the Bog from the north. The area supports a variety of plant and animal life. The area also includes many types of trees, shrubs, ferns, mosses, lichens and fungi, as well as various wildflowers that bloom in season. The Kent Ecological Trail, about 1-mile in length, starts on the porch of the Nature Center at the west end of the Bog and proceeds clockwise around the perimeter of the Bog, crossing the outlet stream at the far end, and returning to the Nature Center along the west shore of the bog pond. There are 42 unique stops along the trail. This guide serves as an interpreter in understanding these stops. Download the full guide in PDF format from the right hand menu. Enjoy your adventure!
